During Undergraduate study I took a course titled Sound Design for Storytelling at Michigan State University. One assignment asked for a 30-second game audio redesign of a classic video game of choice.
I worked with my British partner whilst she visited me in the U.S. at the time and she was kind enough to quickly learn the Scumm Bar music on the piano to provide a re-recorded version to accompany my sound redesign.
The redesign was accomplished by sourcing matching third-party sound assets from my collection and arranging them to picture of the gameplay clip on the timeline in Adobe Audition. Simple panning and volume controls were used to create a convolution reverb-like effect when transitioning between rooms during gameplay.
